Don’t forget to update The Sims 4 to the latest version.
Repair your game files, delete the cache, and restart the game. If your Sim refuses to take the garbage to the outside trash can, sell your trash bin and get a new one. If you’re still experiencing the same problem, clear the Sims 4 and Origin cache, and check for updates. Go to your Origin game library, right-click on The Sims 4, and select Repair. If your Sims continue to drop the trash on the floor, try repairing your game files. If you suspect the outside trash container is faulty, delete it and check if this workaround solves the problem.
You can also buy a different trash bin model and check if anything changes. Try moving it somewhere else, and check if you notice any changes. If you suspect this problem is caused by unexpected game glitches, sell the indoor trash can and get a new one. Fortunately, I was able to quickly identify the cause of the problem and solve it. If your Sim fails to take out the trash, they’ll get the Uncomfortable moodlet for a couple of hours every time they get near the pile of trash they dumped on the floor.Īs the trash keeps piling up, the Filthy Surroundings moodlet will quickly show up on the screen. Sims will drop the trash on the floor if they can’t find an outside trash can to dump it into. If your Sims won’t throw away the trash, make sure there’s a functional outdoor trash container on your lot.
