The cherry blossoms fell, fluttering down Kimi no koe ga kono mune ni kikoete kuru yo This year, once again, the cherry blossoms are reflected in the window of the Odakyuu train Odakyuusen no mado ni kotoshi mo sakura ga utsuru My future is in full bloom but it fills me with panic We went our separate ways, and brought our spring to an end Sorezore no michi wo erabi futari wa haru wo oeta On the colourful riverbank, I search for that day

Sotsugyou no toki ga kite kimi wa machi wo deta Sotsugyo Shashin is a simple song with sparse background music.Embracing every bit of my fluttering loveĮven now, I prayed for with you that spring, the cherry blossoms scatterĭensha kara mieta no wa itsuka no omokageįrom the train I could see the traces of one day Yoshioka’s voice is splendid here too more feminine and calmer. It is accompanied by a simple guitar, and some back up vocals by Mizuno Yoshiki (the band leader). I love the melody of the verse it’s simple and pretty at the same time. Wow, more harmonica action in Sotsugyo Shashin. The chorus’ melody is happy in an interesting way too (especially how the melody goes all over the place) must be hard to sing at parts.

There’s this interesting part where Yoshioka speak-sings a part before going back into the verse again (neat part). I think I hear a harmonica in the background, but that might just be me. The next track has an interesting name: HOT MILK (O_O).

It has a nice effect, and Yoshioka’s voice is perfectly suited for this job. My favourite part of this song is where Yoshioka sings a bridge section a capella near the ending. While I’m talking about the backg round music, there seems to be quite a bit of strings used in this song. The main focus of this song seems to be on Yoshioka, since the background music fades at times. Out of the songs I’ve recently heard of, this song has one of the most interesting and captivating melodies.

The song starts off with the vocalist, Yoshioka Kiyoe, singing with light accompaniment and then going into the verse. SAKURA is the A-side to Ikimono Gakari’s debut single. I’ve made another amazing discovery! Ikimono Gakari, a three person band, as some pretty good music, and their main vocalist has quite a strong voice too.
